Last night, in the heart of Wheat Brothers Farms, a circle of women gathered at our 1910 farmhouse to begin the Abundantly Bold and Abiding Bible study—a study I was led to write this year. It wasn’t polished pews or four walls of tradition that marked this moment. Instead, it was a reminder that God’s presence meets us right where we are: in kitchens with coffee cups, at farmhouse tables, and out in the barns where grit and grace collide.
For me, this Bible study is more than words on a page. It is a testimony of how the Lord has walked me through seasons of loss and uncertainty, only to show me that His abundance is not tied to what we build with our hands but to who He is. What was once a dream stripped bare has been reshaped into something stronger—a new chapter that holds both tenderness and courage, like leather softened over years of use.
At LH Coffee Bar and Saloon, we’ve always believed in weaving integrity into every pour and every handshake. Now, that same spirit flows into our Bible study. The grit of entrepreneurship meets the grace of the Gospel. Teaching our kids to carry honesty, creativity, and resilience through teenage years is no small task, but it’s the kind of legacy worth leaving. We want them to see that business isn’t just about profit—it’s about people, and more importantly, about living in the light of Jesus.
What struck me most last night was not the words I had written, but the fellowship that rose up between women who are hungry for truth and community. It was boldness softened by compassion, much like the cowgirl spirit itself: tough enough to ride through the storms, tender enough to listen and lift each other up.
The Abundantly Bold and Abiding study is just beginning, but it already feels like God has carved out a sacred space here at the farm. A space where coffee brews beside open Bibles, where laughter mingles with tears, and where we learn together that abundance in Christ is not about having more—it’s about living deeply rooted in Him.
